The foraminifera (Reophax fusiformis) is a benthic organism prevalent in British marine waters. It is a member of the Nodosariata group of foraminifera and has two to three chambers.
The example in the movie is spindle-shaped, and produces pseudopodia at both ends (best observed in full screen)
